Which consent will this application amend or support?
For amendments and supporting applications, you must select the existing consent to which your new application relates.
Objective Build populates all relevant data from the selected consent into your new application, to save you time and to ensure the applications are consistent.
The list of existing consents includes any consents already accepted by your building consent authority on which you are the agent, owner or another participant with edit level access or above.
Amendments
You may only create an amendment against an issued consent. So the list excludes consents that have not reached building consent issued state, such as consents submitted but still being vetted for lodgement.
Supporting applications
There are many different supporting applications with different restrictions. So the list contains all building consents and, when you select the building consent, the system presents a list of supporting applications generally appropriate to the selected consent. When you select the supporting application, then the system determines if there are any reasons not to proceed.
For example, you may create a CCC application after a consent is issued and before the consent is at CCC issued. In addition, you may have only one draft or active CCC application at a time on a consent. So you select a building consent and then select to create a Code Compliance Certificate - Form 6, and at this point the system determines if all the conditions are met.
